I take local organic wood-fired sourdough from the baker down the street, chop it into crouton-ish cubes, then bathe it in browned butter, before tumbling with cinnamon and sugar and baking into toasty bits. These cinnamon toast croutons were almost too fabulous to share {reason n.10,000 why I love my job} but share I’m happy to do.
The chocolate is darkly creamy, possibly the uber dark milk of craftdom, if I say so myself—this cacao has everything a dark milk requires: a light fruitiness, a spicy backbone, enough chocolate to sit up and take notice. The cinnamon toast crumblets are crispy, sweet, spicy.
