snail trail: malted oat milk chocolate with coffee crisped rice (vegan friendly)

In my Favorite Things category are malted milk shakes, not just that, but the mocha-fied version (that makes it a breakfast food right?). This treat after the summit, snack after escaping the cabin fever blues, the ski over the river and through the woods means we really do deserve it, is my go-to. Maybe yours too?

Crafting a malted milk shake as a bar was as simple as reinventing the wheel I’d already invented: oat milk chocolate is 6 years old this month, so to celebrate, I used my other creation, plant-based malted milk to make this bar. I’m thinking of these “the little maker that did” innovations as my slow batch snail trail.

Oh, and crispy coffee rice just seemed fun: this bar is crispy + creamy and definitely malty-yummy.

It’s perfectly fine to slurp every bit.

Ingredients: cacao (direct trade sourced from Huila Colombia via Osito coffee and cacao), organic cocoa butter, organic cane sugar, organic gf oats, barley malt, organic crisped rice, organic coffee from Wandering Goat Coffee (Eugene, OR).

Allergen: contains gluten (barley malt)
